I am a disability professional and can see huge benefits from the Segway for increasing outdoor and indoor independence for people who can stand but cannot walk far. This is the civilised answer to mobility scooters for people who still want to have fun! As a serving Police Officer, my Force planned to trial the Segway in a City Centre pedestrian environment. This would allow the force to have an increased presence within the area and to utilise greener technology, however as this is still classed as a vehicle on a road this plan had to be halted.
Time to cast off out dated restrictions and embrace the modern technological realities. Having used a Segway in the streets of Rome, I cannot see a viable argument for the continued ban on their use in the UK. We are able to use electric bicycles, electric scooters, invalid carriages etc., so why not this safe, environmentally friendly mode of transport too? I have been to Poland and visited Krakow, Wroclaw and Warsaw where Segways are used in city centres and main squares, in crowded conditions, with no problems. I hope open usage of Segways are allowed in the U.K. It will allow me to utilize the mobility aid of my choice, necessary due to disability, on my next trip. How can somethingn like this not be legal to ride on the public roads, footpaths or cycle paths, but yet we can have muppets causing all sorts of problems on cycles. I don't understand it energy efficiant, would get cars off the road (so safer) fits with all greener policies the government should be pushing for, and looks fun to use. There really doesn't seem to be a problem. Has anyone actually given any kind of reasonable reason as to why this has not happened yet? I was recently in Dubai and why is it they can be used legally in a country with vast oil supplies and not in the UK? This is the perfect way to get cars off our roads, reduce pollution and thus global warming. If the government really cares about becoming more 'green' then these should be legalised. No reason not to in my opinion. we need to get this stupid goverment to notice, but i fear they wont due to the revenue they get from fuel. It's crazy!! The same applies to Australia. Get your act together and start saving the planet and embrace the technology that is out there now!! Let's cut down on noise, congestion and pollution. I didn't know segways were ilegal in th UK,I don't own one but don't see why I can't use one instead of using my car on our congested roads. Supporting a friend whose wife has MS and would benefit from one of these. This could make someone's life less dependant on others!! I am physically disabled, such that I cannot walk far or fast, nor can I ride a pedal-cycle. But not so disabled that I need a wheelchair or carriage.
The Carbon footprint of these machines MUST be smaller than anything with an internal combustion engine, so they should be promoted onto our streets not barred from them. These should be legalised immediately to give the option of mobility to those that need them, when alternatives are inappropriate. As a friend of mine suffers from MS, legalising these would lessen the need for her to a)use the car everywhere, and b)lessen the limitations on where she can go as mobility scooters are not always suitable. Having recently ridden Segways in the US, I was all set to buy one of this brilliant machines until I found that they are illegal on public roads/paths. I had assumed, at the very least, that they would have parity with bicycles and hoped for more as they are more akin to pedestrians that cyclists.
UK - - get yourself into the 21st Century - - please ! This would help so many people move around in London and as a result mean less congestion on Public Transport. Have experienced a very short trial on a Segway. Would love to be able to use one. I walk everywhere I possibly can as I do not feel safe or confident on a bicycle on busy roads. The Segway feels safe and secure and very manoeuvrable and would help aid the reduction of traffic on the roads - which is what all councils and subsequently the government - are asking of us. Public transport is generally unreliable and expensive. Time to give the public more choice. Keep up with green technology Mr Brown I have seen, trained and used one of these very versitile machines, if legal I would purchase and use to travel to work and save my car adding to the traffic jams in the centre of Aberdeen. If the powers want to take cars off the road allow me to use this method of transport I think they should be legalised in UK because they are ideal form of transport for commuting and being disabled and unable to walk very far they would keep me mobile. Having had the pleasure of riding a Segway in Spain this year, I cannot see why they can not be licenced for limited use in the UK. I would like to consider this mode of transport to get me to my friends houses without using my car. I am 70 but still very mobile and alert. What a great way to travel short distances - especially for the less able-bodied. If they were legal they would become cheaper and I would certainly use one to travel the three miles to work instead of using my car. When will we move into the 21st century over vehicle licensing and classification. Recently enjoyed a segway tour of Budapest. An excellent and relatively safe method of transport, even on the pavement with walkers. About time it was legalised here! I understand that the Segway runs at approx. 12mph. Their is a lady in my village that has an electrically assisted bike and I can tell you (after following her one-day) she never gets above 12mph on a main road - yet because she has a seat and a set of pedals she's considered legal. Bizarre! I Saw these things in America where they are used by the police amongst others. They are great - and green. I thought our government was supposed to be forward looking - so why are bicycle lanes being kept exclusively for a contraption invented in the 1880s? If this isn't the answer to the politicians prayers of a non-poluting personal transport I don't know what is!! Its madness NOT to allow them on the road. They should be seen as a type of bike. This is needed to clear our roads of cars Had superb fun in Sint Maarten on holiday and now want one in UK These machines take up less room than a powered wheelchair and bridge the gap between those who can walk distances and those who need a wheelchair. I want one! Britian is supposed to be looking at green alternatives and the segway is the ultimate green transport of the future. At this time of concern for the environment, and achieving transport with a smaller carbon footprint, Segway makes a lot more sense than an electric car or moped around town.
as a person with limited mobility i would love to be able to use a segway as a personal transporter. The Segway can be safe green and efficient transportation and should be able to be legally used in the UK roads, pavements and cycle paths in the same category as Cycles and pedestrian controlled aids to mobility. Come on dudes, We want Segways! IF THE GOVERMENT CANNOT IMPROVE THE PUBLIC TRANSPORT COST EFFECTIVELY THEN WHY SHOULDN'T THIS LOW RPM MODE OF TRANSPORT BE LEGAL IF SAY REGISTERD TO A PROPERTY?? This machine should be permitted in the UK. its in use in other countrys and is safe and effective means of transport. the UK invented most forms of transport so why ban some other countries efforts. If they are used properly, Segways can make a huge difference to the carbon footprint we are all making in the way that we use our cars. If they can be used on paths and cyclepaths it will enable people to travel at a cost of 1p a mile instead of anything between 50p to 80p a mile using a car. Significantly, there are no CO2 emissions, less congestion, and less stress. The icing on the cake is that they are a dream to use. Using one is like having your own airport walkway wherever you go - it gets you where you want to go, quickly and safely (and puts a smile on your face at the same time).
I cannot understand why the government are not trying to support being green and eco friendly, its madness. Especially the way the government keep talking and advertising about understanding and reducing our CARBON FOOTPRINT and all.
This is a great device for short journeys and would really help in reducing rush hour congestion - how many cars do you see with only one occupant - just think how much of a saving to the environment it would be if all those people could be driving a segway instead. Why can't I use one for work, its only 3 miles, the car doesn't even get warm and sits in traffic a lot of the time, Typical backward Britain, Government would loose too much fuel duty I suppose The present restriction on use of Segways in England is archaic, onbstructive and ignoring modern technology. It is incredible that the beurocrats can take such an ignorant view as to ban the Segway. These kinds of developments really do offer sensible solutions to some of our pollution problems. If they were worth the money the tax payers pay for them, they would be itching away at the barriers instead of propping them up. As a sufferer of ME, with limited mobility I am keen to see the use of Segways legalised. The Segway seems to be a valid alternative to a mobility scooter and would have no greater impact to other pedestrians than a scooter.
I just used a Segway for the first time in San Francisco and absolutely loved it. It is a great invention and such a great way to get around the city. After 40 minutes of training we were out riding safely on the roads and pavements. I would love to see Segways legalised and feel it makes so sense from an environmental or safety perspective to outlaw them. Wake up its 2007 not 1907. It seems very narrow-minded that Segways are not permitted in the UK as they are in Europe and USA. It is time to re-think and allow them This would be a cool way to solve my getting to work problem let the public use this environmentally machine I have COPD abd am unable to walk far, I use a disabled scooter but cannot take it on a bus or train, hence unable to go on holidays.
To invoke a totally obsolete law to prevent the use of the Segway on OUR pavements is shoddy, lazy and lacklustre legislation. With the Labour government and all the major political parties falling over themselves to parade their so-called "green" credentials it is farcical and baleful for the DfT to behave like overbearing nannies. Legalise the Segway now! A.Pedestrian, Leamington Spa. I have had a go on a Segway whilst I lived in the US, they where so much fun, so much better for travelling short distances then a car, more reliable than buses, take up less space and always put me in a happy mood. These out dated laws should be corrected. I would love to be able to get a segway to commute to work. The route is about 3.4 miles 2.5 ish miles of which has a cycle path off the road through a reserve sort of thing. It can be very frustrating when it takes 20mins sometimes in traffic when you could easily wizz along past it all on something like a segway. I have thought about buying a bike but to be honest I am too lazy to even dream of waking up in the morning and pedal to work. And the idea of arriving and having to change out of your sweaty clothes into work clothes doesnt really appeal. Its safe, its fun, its better for the environment!!! I feel that the current laws enforced from the late 19 hundreds are simply unable to be applied to forms of travel not even imagined when the law was created. Today with traffic congestion and rising fuel costs and the government pushing to go greener it seems incredulous that the government has not addressed these issues arising from the application of modern green technology. The sooner the government catches up with technology the better. About time the UK realised this is the 21 century why ban something that will help the environment...Oh and helps cut down the number of cars. Bring on the Segway and any other solutions like it!! [wish it wasn't so expensive to but though]. It's Time to move out of the "Dark Ages!" Allowing antiquated laws to inhibit sensible technology is sad and disappointing for many people who are trying to maintain mobility yet reduce the impact on the environment. this is ESPECIALLy true for those who are partilly handicapped and wish to avoid the indignity of travelling in a motorized wheelchair when they are still perfectly capable of standing upright (but unable to walk extended distances). Is it possible that some Burocrats who suffer no disability actually envy the handicapped whom are equipped with a Segway?? Hmmm!? It's entirely ridiculous that a government so obsessed with environmentally-friendly solutions will ban what is possibly the single best practical move in that direction. These should be road legal - it is common sense! Legalise Segways for roaad use in the UK I have just come back from Madrid where we did a tour of the city on Segways. They were ideal for getting around and did not get in the way of the pedestrians. This is great tool for getting around and would help reduce our carbon emissions!
We should legalise Segways asap as it provides a clean cheap efficient way of transport esp for shorter journies It is ludicrous that such an environmentally sound device such as the Segway is discriminated against whilst a powered bicycle can be piloted on the public highway with no examination or duty. I am disabled and the Segway gives me back some of my independence. I can go for a walk with my wife other than on pavements for the 1st time in 15 years. To mke this illegal is in my opinion a breach of my human rights. The Segway is extremely easy to use and safe on pavements as it can stop very quickly and can move out of the way of danger quickly as well. The use of Segways in England would also help to reduce the use of cars for short trips. There seems to be a reluctance from the government to accept new technology and this is proved by using a law from 1835 which obviously is not suited for the present. make segways legal,

Absolutely fantastic, what fun and what a way to get around. Better than queueing in traffic jams and alot more practical for getting around. I would definately buy one at some point and agree they need to be legalised as this is definately a way to reduce traffic congestion and alot greener to the environment!!! This country is trying to focus on becoming 'greener', however, when an mode of transport becomes available that people can use to go to the shops a mile down the road, or to get from their house to a local train station, the government will not legalise this. Hence many use cars for these journeys increasing both pollution and congestion.
This is an amazing piece of technology. Surely there must be enough reasons to allow something such as this to help with conjestion and the enviroment issues! legalise segways there fun as well as great for transportation These things are as versatile as a bicycle and even easier to learn to ride! It is crazy to think of anything other than making them 100% legal transport for thousands of people. how can these not be legal? theyare the next way to reduce carbon emmissions and are safe... much better than a bicycle and much safer than a motorbike... legalise them now. With this innovative form of transport we could substantially cut down on carbon emissions. And to make the machine more legal if the government made it mandatory for insurance to be taken out against each machine that would then lessen the problem of any accidents going unrepresented. Segway may not solve every transport problem but they are fun, safe and environmentally friendly. Segways centres should be set up in every town for tourist tours and generally mobility. If this happens the take-up for other purposes would be rapid. I have over 15,000 kms of safe, clean, and incident-free travel on my Segway.
YET AGAIN. Our ridiculous government is nannying us to death, give us the option and let the people decide for once. You never know we might just be grown up enough to make the decision for ourselves. Would it be worth starting a full petition on http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/new ?
Why in the world would this amazing invention be banned from the UK roads and pavements when everywhere else in the world they have recognized the advantages?
why can't england join the europion thinking, and do normal.......let the segway glide in the uk...just like we do in belgium !!!! We need to give all the help we can to disadvantaged people We need to find alternative types of transport that are fun to use. If people enjoy using the segway the roads will be less congested. I have just come back from California where the segway is classed the same as a person. Nobody complains about them on the pavements, infact more people stop you to ask about them and say how cool they are WE have two x2 segways and just about to commit to a volume order of 100 units. They will be legalised. Traffic in London is getting worse by the day as more and more cars are on the road. The Sedgeway would help to relieve some of this pressure and would also be more environmentally friendly. This green machine should be encouraged if it only removed a few cars from our roads this would surly be a benifit this emmisionless transport should be allowed on pavements They're no more dangerous than those things old people drive on the pavement! These are great little vehicles & I would love one. The Segway PT is perfect on pavements, I have seen them in use in Melbourne,Australia during the Commonwealth Games & very easy to control, even in crowds. The highway act of 1835? When I read that, I just had to sign. Even though I live in the USA, where I legally enjoy the freedom of Segway transportation, I feel that Segways should be approved for use worldwide. The Government should be urging us to use this type of transport and stay out of cars, instead of banning them. The should be legalised as soon as possible for use on pavements etc. The goverment want people to leave their cars at home and use some other form of transport, I think that Segway PT should also be made legal and included. The "electronic horse" takes up less room than a car, creates less polution and is the way forward Segways Should Be Allowed *virtually* Anywhere Pedestrians Are Allowed.
segways rule!! Segways could not only create a 'greener' Britain but they could also vastly improve the quality of life for many people with disabilities/mobility problems. Segways are legal to ride in many European countries, and most American states. They should be legal to ride on the pavement in the UK. Segway use is a clear option to reduce congestion and environmental impact of vehicle emissions. In-action is not an option Segway may not be perfect, but a world with Segways is closer to perfection than a world without them. Tink, please. segway is the solution for a genuine moving Segway is fantastic. Segway is a big contribution of technology development. This is a positive breakthrough because its enviromental and users freindly. This technology will lessen the use of engine fuel that contribute to the one of main cause of global warming. I, myself want to purchase one unit of this human transporter or Segway. But because of its expensive price in the market its impossible for me to buy one. I wish that the market price of this human transporter or Segway will be lower before it will legalise to use in the whole world in this coming days. Segway forever and ever ! Scientific research has proven in several studies that Segways are safe (FHWA-HRT-04-103).
Ridiculous, once more the government seeks to harrass those less able, next they will be banning kiddies from using push scooters.
Progressively more & more car's are using our roads. It is an ideal and greener way of traveling from A to B in the appropriate circumstances. It reduces congestion, emissions, and cost. Please let we licenced drivers use these useful and ecologically sound means of transport for short distances. I am registered disabled and do not wish to use a wheelchair - this would be ideal to keep me mobile without becoming trapped by steps! Please legalise segways. I believe they are an excellent alternative transport. Please alow the use of segways as they are better than mobility scooters. I have a friend who is dependend on usuing one to get around. Please allow the Segway to be used on paths and roads. Not only does the Segway have no emissions and is very safe to operate, it can also allow those who have disabilities to be more mobile. NO TO TRANSPORT APARTHEID ! My segway is safe, convienient, cost effective and envionmentally friendly and Illegal because of an outdated law that is no longer applicable in the 21st century. This needs to be addressed now! Milton Keynes is the only city in the UK (as I know of) that has a ready designed labrinth of "Redway" routes across the city which are totally independant of road traffic. These Redways allow free movement of pedestrians, bicyles and electrically powered disabled vehicles to all areas of Milton Keynes without crossing any roads.
Lgalise the SEGWAY in the UK. You know it makes sense. lets segway in the uk Lets see segways legalized in the UK as well as Canada. Lets get them on the road, the pavement issue is going to be much more problematic Keep on rollin' its really backward of us as a nation not to have these PTs legalised what with all the congestion and pollution they are just whats needed. Wake up politicians! IT'S GREAT FOR OUR EASY MOBILITY AND THE NATURE (ZERO EMISSION) It's about time that the UK took notice of what other cleaner more enviromentally friendly countries are doing by way of transport - it is 2006 is it not. it seems beyond stupid, that when every country in the world is waking up to the very real environmental issues facing us, that such a real alternaitve to personal transport such as the segway is being banned. Surely this the sort of thing the government should be endorsing and encouraging. It makes absolute sense to legalise this amazingly advanced peice of mobility equipment.
It is a complete out rage that the Segway is illegal in the uk, its typical for uor MPs to be the odd one out as usual. the segway is a fun, safe alternative mode of transport. alot safer than a bike or a car. I'm proud to be a part of the Segway Campaign and a group of forward thinking people.
I'm furious with the legislation. As a MS sufferer unable to walk more then a few hundred meters, a segeway would give me back my lost ability to move around, both in towns and nature. It's the ultimate mobility device for people who cannot walk but can stand, yet. I'm from Germany and support the legalisation of Segway PTs in all European countries. I'm a Segway owner in a very congested city. Segways are great. Segways are safe. I'm 90 years old and would have no problems sharing the pavement with Segways. They're at least as safe as the electric wheelchairs you see - if not safer. If these help people with mobility problems and quite patently they do they should be allowed. Bicycles which are used by able bodied people, and which are actively encouraged by the powers that be, use the footpath so why not these for those less fortunate than ourselves. They should be allowed. I would love to see Seg's legalised here in the UK. I rode one in San Francisco and had a marvelous time. Just wish they were cheaper! I would join the campaign to legalise Segways in England I was extremely dismayed that (once again) Britain's archaic rules are making us the cavemen of the civilised globe.
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, mobility was a major problem until I got the Segway XT January 2006. It has changed my life at work and play completely I want to replace my car with something thats less harmful to the environment. Legalise Segway use!! I want to purchase a Segway unit but do not want to break the law. Allowing Segway's to be use by disabled people such as I would greatly benifit and assist my mobility.Used with care, the Segway should be as safe as a cycle and is a green form of travel. My walking limit is 100 yards. My electric scooter is handy, but to big to fit into the boot of my car. Let's be legal. I use my segway as a moblity device, yet it is not accepted as one. it is better for me than my wheelchair....that is why the MAYO clinic (the top hospital in the world)recommends them!!! I use a Segway every day to commute to work I use a Segway as I have quite severe ostoarthritis and this enables me to keep up with my 6 yr old daughter and aids my mobility generally. The alternative is a disability scooter which would have me seated all the time which would not only worsen my arthritic condition but would stigmatise me as disabled.
I think the Segway is an excellent and safe way for people with slight disability to be mobile and retain their independence. It is ridiculous to ban something which is so useful to so many people. i think that the segway is a great idea and should become leagal over in this country the goverment is already trying to make you use public transport or non polluting vehicles so this will be the best way to get around and with fuel emission taxes over the horizon what better way than to use the segway. ( catchy slogan ) ha ha I think it is mad of the government not to allow these. They want us to use greener ways of transport and not to use the roads as much, so we can cut pollution, yet not allowing us to do this, it is in some sense hipocritical. I suffer from a neuro-muscular condition that severely restricts my mobility and i think it is grossly unfair that I am not allowed to use a segway to enhance my ability to attend functions, go shopping, and enjoy life by getting out which I am unable to do now. the restriction imposed on us here in the UK is outdated and short sighted - it needs to be changed immediately. I really great way to protect the environment I operate and own www.madsegs.com in Madrid Spain. The first and largest segway tour operator in the capital, Madrid. I would have prefered to have stayed at home in Edinburgh, Scotland and done this but it was not possible due to the law. I may still be interested in making Edinburgh and the UK better and easier for tourists to see and get around......when the law permits. I live in a very poor transport area of London: No tube, no tram, no train and I never learned to ride a bike. ALL we have are some very unreliable buses. They don't turn up when they should are full of obnoxious school children and take an hour to get 5 miles through the rush hour gridlock. As a single mum I work and travel under stressful time presures. A Segway could be the answer to my prayers. It would get me to the nearest tram stop - from where I could travel much further to work in the time I have available and improve my career prospects no end. I have used a Segway and I think that they are extremly safe. I have found that about 10% of my daily milage is done on a Segway. By my calculations (my car gets 20mpg), after about 100k miles on my car, I'll have NOT purchased 500 gallons of gasoline. I have been interested in Segway for several years: the environmental benefits and the transport freedom it offers should be welcomed in this day and age. I have been on 4 hour tour in Washington DC on a segway so I know what they are like to use. I have a disability that limits my ability to walk but not to stand. I would like to see this device available to the disabled community. I had a 10 minute try out in the US and I'm hooked!!! I find it a worry that out nation can not see the sense in using the segway - they cause no emissions and in an age of getting places fast they would appeal to the younger generation who have little to entice them away from cars - legalise them fast Britain!! I feel that it is impossible to stop something as simple and eco friendly as this when all the other countries in the world adopt such a thing why does England go pace back or in this case 171 years back when everyone else goes one pace forwards. Are we really that shallow or jealous which I feel it is important that the government modernises legislation to encourage alternative forms of transportation, such as the Segway Personal Transporter. I have used them extensively and know them to be safe, quiet, efficient and fun. I'd rather use my Segway to commute, and for short journeys, than my car - especially with congestion being so bad, and petrol prices so high. I doubt I will be able to afford one if they are legalised, but I'll help the cause of those who can and who knows maybe retail competition will drive them into my price range. I can't see why an inovative approach to beat congestion can't be legalised. The Segway is just as safe if not safer than a cycle, even from the pedestrians point of view.
i cannot drive because of my lazy eyes, and walking makes me sweat, finaly theres an answer and now its illegalised. why cant the government make something illegal that actually matters..like racism. i am totally behind legalizing segways. I am totally amazed that the government is using an outdated law to stop the use of the Segway seeing as it has been such a success in France, Spain, Austria, Italy, Netherlands and most of the US. Seeing as we are part of the EU why have we not got the same rights as they. I have been commuting on my Segway to work for a year now and I have no intention of reverting back to my 18 mph car to be stuck in rush hour congestion. I have saved over 50 gallons of fuel since taking delivery of my Segway. If you multiply my saving just by the number of people I know that could commute into the office on a Segway that would start to make a marked difference in the amount of CO2 being emitted. I have received nothing but great feedback from local people, I am courteous to pedestrians and always give them right of way but to be honest the pavements are never busy because everybody is in their cars.
I am invalid person, and the Segway is for the ultimate transportation tool for me. otherwise I have to use my wheelchair for transportation wich is not real fun to ride with(dirt, rain, cold hands in winter of using the wheels, u see nothing in a wheel chair because everyone is bigger, cost al lot of musscle energy, and so on). I am intersted in product design and have been a fan off the segway since it was originally released. A classic design and retro look (sinclair) I am also a segway user here in Portugal I agree with this, amazing invention, definately backing it Hi guys!
Having just riden a segway on a tour in St. Maarten (dutch antilles) my partner and i are keen to buy a segway, however, the illegality is a discouragement. although the official campaign has now ended, i'd like to show my support. great help to travel plans proposed by govt in oredr to reduce traffic congestion and co2 emmisions Goverment needs to move with the times, and support any possible avenue that reduces congestion & polution. Good luck with this.
For a friend with serious problems getting about Excellent idea, wouldn't suit a disabled person like myself, but it would get people off buses and cars for very short trips. Excellent idea Environmentally friendly, great method of transport, quirky - no bother to anyone. What a stupid law. Enjoy traveling. Am for all improvments. E' un prodotto veramente valido e funzionale merita di essere provato e valutato in tutte le sue possibili applicazioni. Don't see any reason why they're not legal! Decades ago the defininition of a moped included a requirement for it to be fitted with pedals by which it could be propelled. That definition was changed and mopeds no longer need to have pedals fitted. Could the current definition of an electrically assisted pedal cycle not be refined in a similar way to encompass the principles of a Segway and similar devices and render it legal to use in public places within the UK? dear goverment,,, wake up and smell the roses not fumes Being in London, recently, I discovered the Congestion Charge aimed at reducing unnecessary traffic pressure and its incidence on the environment. I can't see why a novel brilliant techno-logic idea as the Segway, which pursues the same goals, yet offering users a safe, fun and healthy freedom, suddenly happens to be barred from improving medium-range mobility. Please give the Segway a chance to prove itself. Banning segways is ridiculous. They are no different to disabled carriages. The nanny state is getting ridiculous. At a time when everybody is seeking green solutions, Segway is a fun and green way of travelling. Let's legalise its usage on cycling roads. As a Blue Badge holder due to an arthritic hip I would find a Segway invaluable for shopping trips and general mobility, so that I could join my family on such trips. A Segway takes up less space than existing electric carts that seem to be legal on roads and pavements. all new innovative ideas designed for a greener safer future should have a fair chance to succeed and not be held back by unfair legislation!!! Act NOW! A safe, clean mode of transport A machine with greener credentials does not yet exist..
Members of the police force were selling rides on a Segway, on the pavement outside Exmouth police station for Children in Need. Perhaps I should have done a mass citizens arrest! What a fatuous law. |
